If you happen to be in a relationship with someone, regardless of how long you have been with each other, you know deep inside there was a time when you felt so strongly towards that person. However, how can you determine if it really is love or just some form of infatuation? Below are five indicators of what you’re feeling may turn out to be something more than just a crush:
1. You are truly committed to riding along with your partner through all the highs and lows. If it was just an admiration, a crush or something geared towards lust, you wouldn’t tolerate so much of the fact that he or she is a career-oriented individual.
2. You have this strange fondness for the person, regardless of their flaws and shortcomings. You don’t really care if they aren’t tidy and tend to procrastinate a whole lot, since you would be willing to clean up their mess for them and constantly tell that someone to be more responsible. Call it nagging, but that’s something sincere and earnest.
3. You once thought the person you were previously in a relationship with was the one, but here comes this totally different individual whom you constantly think about. You no longer care for your previous partner.
4. You’re not that minding of other people, whether it’s the same sex or the opposite. You may see someone that others would find attractive and physically appealing, but you don’t even pay much attention to that person since you yourself think that the one you’re with is better looking and you can’t imagine yourself being with anyone else but him/her.
5. You can come to a compromise on many things. There will be some changes that need to be made in your life, and you’re totally okay with it, just so everything will run much more smoothly. Compromise is something difficult to achieve between couples, so if you can manage to do this, then you’re in love!
